Volunteer Reflections

Somewhat to my surprise, several SAYL volunteers signed up through the email blast to come into the office this week to shoot their short testimonial I’ve titled “volunteer reflections”. Utilizing SAYL’s conference room I set up a mini-set with an SAYL themed backdrop, and shot the videos with an iPhone attached to a stand. The first video I shot was our Director of Communications, which we included in the initial email blast to give volunteers an idea of what to expect when they come in to shoot. I approached each shoot with a prompt of questions, which I usually abandoned in the middle of the process to give each video a better sense of authenticity. The goal of shooting “volunteer reflections” is to get volunteers in the office to participate in the Big Give SA, and give them something they can share online (their video) to help improve our fundraising efforts.
